Human Dignity concerns people’s inherent worth and how we treat one another; are you being valued for who you are, or are you being disrespected, judged unfairly or bullied?
Find out how to bring out the best in people, or stand up for yourself in the face of mistreatment. Understand the language of human dignity so you can set boundaries based on mutual respect. Develop awareness of dignity in everyday life through reflection, attentive listening and practical choices.
Human rights education explores the rights that recognise and protect that worth. When human rights are violated, advocacy campaigns can be based on the 30 rights.
The rights cover personal safety, legal protection rights and the rule of law, identity and location rights, personal space and activity rights, rights that aid individual and community survival and three bigger picture rights. The goal is a free and fair world; we have a responsibility to share our knowledge of human rights with others, and none of these rights can be used as an excuse to violate any other right.
