Alaa had an early interest in political activism. He had been politically active since college. After college, he engaged in several political and charity activities. He participated in co-founding a few charities back in North Africa which enabled him to reach out and get first hand engagement with local communities that need both raising awareness on their human rights and increasing their financial stability. With a background in both Islamic economics and banking, Alaa helped to launch initiatives to improve the daily lives of some deprived sectors. He is now looking forward to furthering his passion in helping communities in the MENA region through the Peaceful planet initiatives.
